Placements and Internship Opportunities

SIDshare student members work on internships and placements with a diverse range of partners such as NGOs, charities, social enterprises, schools, and other stakeholders working broadly within the International Development sector. Our partnerships are based both locally and in numerous international contexts.

SIDshare is a member of the South Yorkshire International Development Network (SYIDN) which comprises a number of small to medium sized NGOs based in the South Yorkshire area, who are all working towards the same goals of alleviating poverty in the global south.

Examples of our work with partners include:
• Internships with the NGO Aid Works based in Sheffield working on data analysis for a DFID project based in South Sudan.
• Work placements with our partner NGO KEDA on a range of projects from IT support to most recently developing social enterprise projects based at the SIDshare KEDA Field Centre.
• A postgraduate work placement at the University of Makeni in Sierra Leone teaching international development students.
