Each NGO/Organisation partner are allocated a liaison team of student members (c.4-5) organised across ug/pgt/pgr groups to include a mix of background experiences and involve home and international students. Students work on an international development ‘challenge’ nominated by the NGO (a problem that needs solving) that may involve a number of interventions and involve students thinking strategically about how to address the challenge e.g. grant-making, M&E, fundraising, advocacy, field work.
Challenge teams regularly report to the SIDshare committee. Through ‘challenges’ (rather than more prescriptive projects) we encourage the development of enterprising skills.
